That 2 by 4 thing is a cool thing, isn't it? Helps us poor photographers to find a motive. Good shot of that hydrant! But it seems that you were in the same situation as me. I ended up somewhere totally....boring! ;-)

I love detail shots, it shows texture, age, history and beauty that we would not other wise notice.
